 Whether you are just starting out on the journey of womanhood or have been on it for some time, you have specific health needs. At Wahroonga Village GP we have doctors with extended training to care for you on your journey. Whether it be contraception, fertility advice, ante natal or post natal pregnancy care, hormonal problems, difficulties with menstruation, breast symptoms, sexual dysfunction, bladder leakage or menopause, women have very specific health issues. There are a number of female cancers where early detection greatly effects outcome. It is imperative then that you are monitored and cared for by experienced doctors.   

  1. Gynaecological Conditions Menstrual Irregularities – from adolescence to menopause. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome – tests, education and management. Urinary Incontince and poor pelvic floor tone.

  3. Menopause Menopause is a natural phenomena in all women's lives. Average age of menopause is 52, but it can happen earlier or later. Perimenopause can last for years, and symptoms commonly occur between 45-55 years and can be distressing and interruptive to your lifestyle. 
  4. Screening PAP Smear, Breast Examination, Osteoporosis screening and Bone Health and Cardiovascular health. 
  5. Your Mental Health and Emotional Well-being  postnatal depression, depression, anxiety, panic disorder, stress management and relationship issues .
  6. Shared Ante Natal Care - Dr Edwards participates in shared care with Hornsby Kuringai, Royal North Shore and Ryde Hospitals. We have up to date equipment including a Fetal Doppler/Ultrasound onsite.
